THE BASICS
The first step of purchasing a trip is the same for all Trip Types - a variation of the New Zealand Insight Pre-Trip Survey. This Survey is where you can tell our Travel Team all about your interests, travel history, and anything else we need to know to plan a trip designed to suit your travel personality. Each trip also includes access to our 24/7 on-trip support, who can help you with anything you need on your trip. Whether that is a specific type of recommendation or assistance with a cancelled flight, we are here to help you. No matter what trip type you end up booking, we can’t wait to plan you an amazing experience full of surprises!
COMPLETELY SURPRISE ME!
Find out the destination we've kept a secret, only after you have already left home in a local café or at the airport, where the 'Surprise' is revealed via text message to your phone. A curated digital itinerary is then sent through to your email providing you with everything you need to know for your trip away including flight bookings, rental cars, accommodation and even activities and dining reservations and/or suggestions based on your travel personality. You'll even receive suggested driving routes if you've selected a road trip as part of your adventure.
Transport:
Fly + Drive: flights with rental car - you could end up almost anywhere in New Zealand Fly + Ride: flights with transfers/trains/ferry/public transport - perfect for a non-driving getaway Road Trip: use your own car to hit the road and explore - you'll need your own car for the journey We aim to keep your total travel time to less than 4 hours in any one-day. If you have specific time restrictions for your trip be sure to include that information on the Pre-Trip Survey for our Travel Team. Trip Duration: Minimum: 2-days, 1-night Maximum: 6-days, 5-nights Trip Budget: Trips start at $400 Maximum budget is $5,000 Minimum budgets are based on where you depart from, # of nights, accommodation type and # of people travelling together What is included? Pre-booked accommodation based on your preferences Flights and rental car (unless you select Road Trip) A personalised itinerary that suits your travel personality Recommendations for things to see, do and explore at your destination A number of activities, experiences, attractions, events and dining reservations/suggestions (depends on your budget - average is 1-2 each day) Curated stops to and from your Surprise Destination (unless you select Fly + Ride as you won't be able to control your transport)
EXPERIENCES WITH A TWIST
If you already know where you want to go, but you're wanting to treat yourself while away too, then these trips are for you! You can Delight in a destination that you choose, and then we Surprise you while you're away with a few nights staying in a mystery location we've selected based on your travel personality.
As always you'll receive a curated digital itinerary with everything you need to know for your trip away including flight bookings, rental cars, accommodation and even activities and dining reservations and/or suggestions based on your travel personality. You'll even receive suggested driving routes if you've selected a road trip as part of your adventure.
Each Experience with a Twist trip is packaged up and varies depending on what region you select.
